As I've said a few times before, my friends are crazy. I had a party yesterday and it ran on to all hours of the night. Three people stayed over night as well. Over the past few years, parties at my house have earned a reputation. Not for anything illegal like most people think when a 15-year-old tells them that their parties have a reputation with their friends. This year I invited more people than I probably should have. The guest list is normally about 20 people. There were almost 30 this time. The reason it was so much bigger this time is because my parents decided it would be easier to have our family party on the same day as the party I have for my friends. Everything went smoothly except for a few little things.
One of the little things that didn't go as planned was a full scale food fight. It started when all of my friends sat down to eat cake. One of my friends put a little bit of cake on my face, so naturally, I did the same to her. She didn't like this so i had a whole peice of ice cream cake shoved in my face. One thing lead to another, and eventually 10 of us were running around in my front yard covered in ice cream. I have to say that this was alot more fun than I ever thought a food fight would be. As an added bonus for me, being part of a food fight can now be crossed off my bucket list.
Another little problem, I got into a pretty big fight with two of my cousins. One of them wanted to get my neighbor to come over so he could "beat the crap out of him". Just to clear this up, my neighbor is an 8-year-old boy and the cousin that wanted to fight with him is almost 8. This wasn't waht made me mad, it was the fact that my other cousin, who is going to be 15 in the next few monthes, was encouraging this kind of behavior from my younger cousin. When I heard they wanted to do this, I got involved and it turned into a screaming match. As always, I won, they got in trouble, and no one was beat up.
Final thing that went wrong. At around 9:00pm, my friends and I thought it was a good idea to go "pool hopping". Pool hopping is when you go and jump in a pool that isn't your's and that you don't have premission to be in. Funny thing was, my dad suggested it to us. We gave it a shot, and hit one pool before someone had to go back and use the bathroom. After that, we tried it again but ran into a problem. Apparently, we were making noise. I didn't think we were that loud that anyone would really notice. At the bottom of my street, we stopped to take a group picture, when we turned around, someone was walking towards us. It was an angry older man that claimed to be a police officer. First off, I know this guy. I don't know him real well but I did pull his dog out of a creek about a year ago. I know where his house is and who his wife is. Second, he's not a cop. I walk around my neighborhood alot and there are 2 police officers. One lives two doors up from me and the other lives a street over. I know both of them well enough to know that the guy who yelled at us last night wasn't with the police. It really pissed me off that this guy came over to us with what was most likely a toy police badge and yelled at us.
Other than a few things, it was a good day and a successful party and I know everyone had a good time. but it really does bother me that someone would have the nerve to yell at a bunch of kids like that guy did. I've lived in my house for 12 years and I've never had an issuse with any of my neighbors and I'm outside almost all night sometimes.
On a brighter note, 4 people are now going with me to the Thirty Seconds to Mars concert. I also got a new camera and hopefully, I'll get some good pictures!
