Closer to the Echelon

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3Dr3VK6XLY0

This is the fan response to 30 Seconds to Mars' Closer to the Edge music video. It really shows how diverse the global Echelon really is. All different types of people are connected by this one band, even people who don't speak English. The Echelon really is a family.

The Echelon Video project was something I wish I would have heard about earlier, but apparently I live under a rock. Because I didn't make a video, I'd like to say something about what the Echelon is to me now.

To me, the Echelon is almost unexplainable. It's truly hard to explain how it all makes you feel. Some people are convinced I'm just obsessed or I really love their music or concerts. But it's more than the music, it's how the music makes you feel when you're sitting alone with your headphones on, drowning out the memories of a bad day. It's more than the craziness of the concert, the rush to barrier during your favorite song, the roar of the crowd or the ringing in your ears. It's more than knowing every word to every song and writing them on everything and anything you can. The Echelon is about being part of something bigger than yourself. And when someone looks at you weird and asks what the glyphs stand for you just smile and explain. The Echelon is for the believers, the people who understand, and not everyone's going to understand. But the ones who do understand, the Echelon is so important. And yes, we are all just a little bit crazy. We are dedication, we are family, we are the Echelon.
