The Drama Monster

Dear Drama Monster,

I thought when I left middle school I would be done with you. You hung over the heads of the girls in my class like a big, ugly cloud. I thought that when I removed myself from those girls that maybe you would leave me alone and follow some of them. I guess I was wrong about you. You always seem to show up. And you create new drama in my new friends. Drama Monster, why can't you just leave me alone?

It looks as though you have stayed with my middle school classmates as well. I know you are the Drama Monster, but can't you take a vacation? I know drama and conflict is part of growing up. I know it helps show who will stand by you and who will turn there back and run when things get rough. Conflict brings you closer to your real friends and loosens the ties with the people who will lead you the wrong way.

Drama Monster, you tear apart friendships, create awkward situations and stress out your victims. You may have a purpose, but I have not found one yet. Please go away, I would be extremely grateful if you did.

Sincerly,
Darkness Falls
